Linux Enthusiast

Tux, the Linux mascot

I started building websites in the late 90s using Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP. Since 2016, I’ve worked professionally as a Linux Systems Administrator. More recently, I’ve been exploring AI technologies, including self-hosting Ollama, to experiment with local language models and integrate them into development workflows.

About

My story isn’t just about technology. It’s shaped by family and a curiosity for how systems, both technical and human, actually work, with a focus on understanding why things behave the way they do.

I am writing a book that explores the lessons learned from surviving extreme family and personal challenges, including marriage to a manipulative RCMP officer, a child’s battle with cancer, parental alienation, PTSD, and false allegations. The focus is on understanding the “why” behind these experiences and navigating situations our society is ill-prepared to handle.

Pop Culture

I write about movies, video games, and LEGO as creative outlets and ways to process life’s challenges. These hobbies have played a role in coping with grief, while also offering insight into storytelling, design, strategy, and the human experience.
