Pre-made web design templates save both time and money. I've collected a list of websites who offer free (aka open source) web design templates.
Free web design templates allow me to offer my services at a reduced rate. This is because I don't have to get a graphic designer to create a design for the website. Also templates are already mocked-up in html so it is easy to fix up the mistakes and create a CMS template.
I've try to keep my list clean of sites which offer non-valid, crummy looking templates. Remember: you get what you pay for.
I very often stumbleUpon articles which list an authors favourite Free CSS templates. I'd like to share those articles with you now. This should save you time from weeding through the above sites if you are not looking for something specific.
This is a really great post of the best free Joomla 1.6 Templates. There is even an admin template included.
This site was mentioned on Smashing Magazine, and now I'm mentioning it. It is good! The only problem, you have to translate the content into English (Which is fine as you were not going to keep the default content anyway).
