Today I was checking out all the great movies that will be released this year. I've included a number of trailers, which I plan on going to see. I've included a brief description and ordered the trailers by release date. You should Take a look.

I have ordered the movies by date and will be removing them after their release date. Sorry for the slow loading time.



Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay


Release Date: April 25, 2008
Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay is the sequel to Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. The film is planned for release on April 25, 2008 with John Cho and Kal Penn returning as the duo of stoners and Paula Garcés as Harold's love interest Maria. Neil Patrick Harris also returns as a satirical version of himself.

Iron Man


Release Date: May 2, 2008
Iron Man is an upcoming 2008 superhero film based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Iron Man. The film is directed by Jon Favreau and stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark / Iron Man. The film is slated for a May 2, 2008 release, and is the first film independently produced by Marvel Studios.

Speed Racer


Release Date: May 9, 2008
Based on the classic 1960's Japanese animated series chronicling the aspirations of a young race car driver as he attempts to obtain glory, with the help of his family and the Mach 5, the advanced car created by his father.
This movie also has the same directors as the matrix series.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is a 2008 adventure film and the fourth in the Indiana Jones film series. It was directed by Steven Spielberg, executive produced by George Lucas and stars Harrison Ford in the title role. Set in 1957, the film is intended to invoke a 1950s B-movie rather than a serial, pitting Indiana against agents of the Soviet Union for the crystal skull. Cate Blanchett, Karen Allen, Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Jim Broadbent, and Shia LaBeouf are part of the supporting cast.

Get Smart


Release Date:June 20, 2008
Get Smart is an upcoming film adaptation of Mel Brooks and Buck Henry's hit 1960's spy parody television show Get Smart. The film will star Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart and Anne Hathaway as Agent 99. Alan Arkin will play the Chief. Masi Oka, Terence Stamp, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Dalip "The Great Khali" Singh will also star. Bill Murray and Patrick Warburton make cameos in the film, as does Bernie Kopell, who played Siegfried in the original series.

Hancock


Release Date: July 2, 2008
Hancock is an upcoming comedy superhero film directed by Peter Berg and starring Will Smith, Jason Bateman and Charlize Theron. The story was originally written by Vincent Ngo in 1996 and had languished in Hollywood for some time. The project has had various directors attached, including Tony Scott, Michael Mann, Jonathan Mostow, and Gabriele Muccino. Hancock was originally intended to be filmed before another Smith starrer, I Am Legend. Under Berg, Hancock was filmed in Los Angeles. The film is slated for release on July 2, 2008.

Batman - The Dark Knight

The 2008 sequel to Batman Begins will have Batman, Lt. Jim Gordon, and District Attorney Harvey Dent forming an alliance to take down the rise in organized crime in Gotham City brought about by the absence of Carmine Falcone, who is still missing, as well as trying to battle the homicidal criminal mastermind known only as the Joker, portrayed by Heath Ledger.

The Mummy 3


Release Date: August 1, 2008
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, is an upcoming American film that follows up The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. It is slated for release on August 1, 2008.

Bond 22


Release Date: November 7, 2008
Bond 22 is the working title of the twenty-second film in EON Productions' James Bond film series, due for release on 7 November 2008. It is the sequel to the 2006 film Casino Royale, which rebooted the series. It is directed by Marc Forster, and Daniel Craig reprises the role of James Bond. The film continues to explore Bond maturing at the start of his career as a double-0 agent, as he investigates a mysterious criminal organization and comes to terms with the betrayal and death of his lover Vesper Lynd. Mathieu Amalric and Olga Kurylenko play the main villain and love interest respectively.

Star Trek XI

Star Trek (also referred to as Star Trek XI) is an upcoming science fiction film, the eleventh entry in the Star Trek film series, based on the franchise created by Gene Roddenberry. In April 2006, after several years of rumor and speculation, Paramount Pictures announced that the film would be produced by Lost co-creators J. J. Abrams (who is directing) and Damon Lindelof.
